The Purbeck House Hotel is a smaller, family run hotel whose staff are experienced in providing a friendly, personal approach to your enquiries and Wedding Day. Formerly a Convent, the hotel is set in large grounds overlooking Swanage Bay providing a choice of beautiful backdrops for your photographs. We are the first hotel premises in the Isle of Purbeck to hold a Civil Marriage Ceremony Licence, held now for three years and recently renewed for a further three. |

We have three rooms which are specially licensed: the Purbeck Room, the Garden Conservatory and the Thomas Hardy Restaurant. Our Function Room, with its timber clad walls, was formerly the Convent Chapel and provides a unique venue for your Wedding Ceremony. The room can accommodate up to 90 guests (seated) for a marriage service, or 70 guests for a seated Reception meal. |

| The Garden Conservatory, overlooking the main drive and extensive gardens, accommodates up to 100 guests (seated) for a Civil Marriage Ceremony, or 100 for a Wedding Reception. |
